This type of error from NOW typically doesn't give an EmployeeID , just the wording 'Matching error'.
NOW Pensions have a matching process where if there is a data difference between the employee in their portal and what is contained in the data file from payroll, they ask you to check the data in the NOW Gateway to ensure it is correctly applied.
Instead of just erroring the file completely, the file is submitted successfully but with a manual touchpoint.
Unfortunately, NOW don't tell us what the matching issue is, so the only way to find out is to log in to the NOW Gateway to view the matching issue on their site. Usually, it will be something like a slight variation in personal data like name, NI number, or employment start date.
